Pinup Shoot 8/19/10

Yesterday was the pinup shoot, I ended up with 6 girls here, it was a lot of fun and we got some good pictures.. The whole shoot took about 7 1/2 hours. Today, I am EXHAUSTED! I feel like I am catching a cold now but I think that is because I was allergic (nasal allergies) to the hair spray. Once my allergies start, it is really easy to catch a cold. So anyways, had lots of fun, got lots of pictures, and without further ado.. here are a few of them. I took over 800 pictures.. so this is only a very small sampling..lol

I am hoping to do another of these parties in the future. It was very enjoyable for everyone involved. :)

30 days of Me- Day 4

Day 04 - your favorite book

I don't know if I have an actual favorite book.. I do have several series that I like..
1. The Cat Who series is always enjoyable for me.


2. Anne Rice's Vampire chronicles.


3. The Doll in the Garden is a really good book..



4. Tiger Eyes, by Judy Blume was a favorite when I was younger.



So that is about it for books.. I don't have a lot in the way of favorites.. but those are the ones that I enjoy.

Pinup Shoot!

Today is the day! I am hosting a pinup shoot for a bunch of girls! There should be at least 5 or 6 coming out today to do the shoot.. I am looking forward to it.. I think Hair and makeup will be our biggest challenge.. but it should be fun! I will be posting some of my favorite pictures from the shoot very soon! Yay!

30 days of Me- Day 3

Day 03 - your favorite television program

Well, my current favorite would have to be NCIS.. I love that show!


I have a couple go to shows that I love to watch at night(I almost never watch tv during the day) Those are Good Eats & Unwrapped. Yep, both food network shows.. what can I say, I love food..lol

Great Day!

It has been a good day. Nicole & I got together and went to lunch, then it was off to ROSS, my all time favorite store!! Where I got Alora a couple cute outfits and some coffee cups for my exchange person. Once we were done there we headed out to the Mall.. Once in first stop was of course the smoothie place! lol.. Then we stopped at many many stores..lol.. I ended up with a pair of shorts from Jcpenney and a couple essentials that I needed from walmart including printer ink and tea, gotta have tea! lol.. It was a long day that probably would have been easier without my cranky 2 year old.. but it was still fun..

Once I got home I got the two packages that I need to send out all packaged up and scheduled for pickup tomorrow! My exchange is going out via fedex, cause it was cheaper that way, and the box of stuff for our first ever ASA giveaway is packed up and scheduled to go out tomorrow also! Yay!

So I got everything done today and I didn't spend a lot of money.. total plus for me! It is great having a great FF like Nicole to spend time with! I <3 her!

Hmmm... Pictures?

I am thinking that after I finish up with the 30 days of me.. I will do 30 days of pictures.. like a picture a day for 30 days.. I would do 365 days but I am not sure I could keep up with that.. I may be taking most of the pictures on my small camera but I still think it will be fun.. Especially since I love taking pictures.. So that is the plan, finish 30 days of Me and go on to 30 days of pictures.. :)

30 days of Me- Day 2

Day 02 - your favorite movie

This one is pretty easy, although again, I do have more than one.

1. Labyrinth, this is my all time favorite movie, I absolutely love everything about it!


2. What Dreams may come... I think it has a good message for relationships.. you can make it through hell if you love someone enough.

3. Dogma, this movie got me through a really rough time in my life. It also brought my faith back.. as strange as that may sound.



4. Hope Floats, just because the name says it all.. keep believing, keep trying, keep hoping, and things will get better.



5. Legends of the Fall, another beautiful movie and where we got both Tristan's name, and the piano theme for our wedding. <3



There are many more movies that I like and even love, but these are my favorites..:)

Washington

Well we are officially moving to Washington in only 2 short months. It took over 3 months for Kris to get his 1306(extension form with the Nimitz) approved so we could schedule a move and know for sure that the navy would move us. Now we know, as of just this past sunday we finally got word it was approved. We will be moving to Washington in November and we will be there until December of 2011.. I don't know where we are going after that. With the Navy there is no telling but we are ready for whatever comes our way. Lately I have been thinning out our things, trying to get rid of all the extra baggage we have acquired over the years that we just don't need. It is depressing sometimes for me to get rid of somethings .. I am a pack rat and find sentimental value in pretty much everything.. So for me getting rid of things is a show of strength that until now I have been unable to muster. I have to dig deep in myself and make the decision, "do i really need this? will I ever use it?" Many times the answer is no, and if the item has no seriously significant sentimental tie, like my dad or Kris gave it to me, then it has to go. There are still many things I keep, that probably should go. I will probably need to go through our things at least 2 or 3 more times before I can really get rid of all the unnecessary stuff. For now though, at least I am doing something about the tons of stuff we seem to be just dragging around with us from place to place. Even though it has been hard, I feel some sort of freedom by ridding myself of these "things" it is almost liberating.
Anyways,
So now I am waiting for a copy of the HPC form so that I can send it to the moving office. Gotta have that to schedule my move on the Navy's dollar. So again I wait, but this time, it isn't scary or unsure.. I know I will have that paper, I just don't know how soon.

I am really looking forward to the drive to Washington, taking lots of pictures, and spending time with my dad, since he is supposed to fly in and drive up with us. I am supposed to call him today to buy his plane tickets.. hopefully he will still be coming, but only time will tell.

Ok, so here it goes, Day 1 and already I am kinda stumped.. I love music and there are many songs that have meaning to me and many that I like, but I don't know if I have an absolute favorite.. so I will list a few that have great meaning to me.

1. Don't wanna miss a thing- Aerosmith
This song means so much to me because first because the love of my life sang it to me in Karoke <3 The second reason is because we danced to it at our wedding. The third, well it is a very true song for our situation. We miss so much but we definitely don't want to.

2. The piano theme from Legends of the Fall.. because that is the song that I walked down the aisle to him to.

3. Well, I am a big Nickelback fan so pretty much anything from them I love.

4. Last of all there are many songs that I hear that create emotions especially when Kris is gone.. like Far Away, Right Here Waiting, I'm Already There.. so many..

So that is pretty much it.. I have lots of love for music, but no real go to song..
