From there to here.....

Well, it has been awhile since I have blogged.. things have been rather busy.. I left California on Nov. 6th with Kris, my dad, and all the kids.. We drove over to Glendale, Arizona so that I could go to my commencement ceremony.. unfortunately I do not have any good pictures of me walking because I failed to teach Kris how to use my camera prior to the ceremony... But there are a few snapshots that we took afterwards..





After leaving Arizona we headed up to Las Vegas and got a room at the Excalibur.. that was a huge disappointment... the room was awful.. but we had a good time anyway.. spent way to much money, and dad gave Kris & I a date night..:) We went to the eiffel tower restaurant and spent a boat load of cash and got some good food..A little miscommunication kept us from going to see a show.. but thats ok.. we still got to enjoy each others company.

We left Vegas and headed to Reno.. We stayed at the Atlantis in the Concierge tower and let me tell you it was beautiful! Best hotel room I have ever stayed in! They had free Hors d'oeuvres, breakfast, and dessert in the evening! I wish I could always stay in places like that!

We continued on to Portland, Oregon and drove through the mountains and lots of snow to get there.. ended up buying chains for the tires because of the amount of snow on the road....Stayed at a horrible days inn while in portland got up early and left for Washington... Finally made it here on the morning of Nov. 10th and got our house... Then began all the days of work.. deliveries, installations, shopping, and then Kris left to go back to SD.. and I found out that the van is broken and leaking gas from the fuel tank.. :( Then Dad left to fly back home .. So now I am dealing with the insurance company and trying to see if they will fix it.. but I have to take it in to a shop and have them look at it first to see "what caused it" They said if it is normal wear and tear they won't cover it ... but if it is something damaged then they will .. but the appraiser who glanced under my car said he couldn't see anything so as it stands they aren't going to cover it..

So I am going to take my van in tomorrow morning and see if they can diagnose the problem.. and if it is something that the insurance company will cover then I will get a rental car.. if not.. then I will just go without my car for who knows how long.. sigh.. I really should go to the grocery store and get some more food before that happens..lol..

I have had the good fortune to be spending much more time with Nicole lately too.. it is so nice having her live close to me...

I am also looking forward to getting to meet some of the other Navy Wives up here.. Next week we are all doing Thanksgiving here at my place.. so that should be a lot of fun... :)

I guess that is about it for now..

Time to move...

Well, the packers came yesterday and packed up all our stuff.. those guys were hilarious and definitely made the day more enjoyable and a lot less boring... I can say that it is definitely nice to have Kris here to take the kids off somewhere while I stay with the movers rather than having to deal with kids and movers at the same time.

We did have a small set back on monday.. The idiots at Cox decided to shut my internet and cable off 5 days early! So after much complaining and yelling at those idiots they credited us for the next 6 days and came back the next morning to turn it back on.. ugh.. So we missed monday night Raw.. so not happy about that...

Right now the movers are here and taking all of our stuff to the trucks... looking at all of our stuff packed makes me realize that I definitely did not get rid of enough stuff! I hope that I can find a place for it all without having a garage.. It is going to be like playing tetris with totes when we get there! LMAO!

I can say this though, I will surely be trying to get rid of more things as I unpack. We need to continue to lighten our load and not carry around things that are not in use or important to us.. of course random holiday decorations like Christmas and Halloween do not count in this equation.. I will not be getting rid of that stuff...lol..

I will however be putting up my Christmas tree as soon as I get to Washington.. Since dad and Kris will both be in the house for only a couple days after we get there.. yea.. I am hoping that we can get the delivery on the 11th or even 10th so that I can do that.. since dad has changed his schedule and is now leaving us on the 11th instead :( ... Kris had to take leave early to be here for my graduation so he is leaving us by the 13th or 14th i think... but i am glad that he is able to be here for my graduation at least...

I am looking forward to meeting all the Navy wives up in Bremerton and having the Thanksgiving potluck since I know many of our husbands will still be in san diego for that holiday...

Anyways, this was a lot of random..lol.. Tomorrow the cleaners get here and then my dad... and friday it is time to do the final inspection and head off to Arizona... :)

Finally Approved!

After an extremely long wait Kris' leave finally got approved today and good thing to cause it starts today! lol.. I am so happy that he will be able to be at my commencement ceremony.. I am so thankful for everyone's prayers, this was very important to me.. I will have the two most important men in my life at my graduation, my husband and my father. :)

With all the happiness today has recently brought me I also have much sadness for some dear friends of mine ... I pray that God will soon heal their hearts and that they know how much I care for them... Much love and prayers to you all...

Some great news!

So as many of you know I have been having some serious issue with my going to my commencement.. like the fact that Kris probably won't be there and there is no way my dad can handle my brats.. so it was looking like I was going to have to cancel..

Luckily a very wonderful lady named Brandy who is currently residing in Arizona offered to watch my bunch during the commencement! She is a life saver! I cannot tell you how ecstatic I am that she is doing this for me.. and how very thankful! If she wasn't going to watch them then I would not be going. So again from the very bottom of my heart.. thank you so much Brandy!

Another great thing that happened today... Living Social had a great deal today for a 4 hour house cleaning for only $59 bucks! So of course I jumped on it and now have my house scheduled for cleaning the day after the movers come and take all of our things! How excellent is that! I don't have to worry about cleaning my house now either! What a relief!

I tell you if I could finally get word from Kris about the leave today would be an over the moon excellent day!

A little bit of me...

I have been feeling very frustrated and angry lately.. mostly due to still not having ANY word on whether or not Kris will have leave for our move... and it only being 2 days until he is supposed to start leave. To say the least it is starting to grate on my nerves and I am finding it hard to not show my anger over the situation.

The biggest reason I am so bothered by it is because if he doesn't get leave that means no commencement ceremony for me.. and that upsets me.. I usually don't plan anything .. but I had this planned around the navy's dates.. but of course they changed their plans.. too bad I can't just change mine so easily.

Anyways, luckily I have been kept busy for the past 3 days with my inlaws being here.. It is always nice to have them around.. plus the kids LOVE it!

I have also had some exchanges going on with ASA for Christmas time and the Milspouse giveaway that I did here on my blog.. I was a little disappointed that I only had a few entries.. but maybe next time there will be more. I plan to do another giveaway sometime in December I believe.

If any of my lovely Navy ladies make things that they would like to donate for a giveaway I would be more than happy to have a contest for one of your pieces!

Let me leave you with this thought.. although things do not always go our way it is how we deal with those things that can either drag us down or lift us up. Sometimes things are going to make you angry, and that is ok.. but don't let it keep you down to long.. things will get better .. Smiles are contagious.. so give some away!

A little bit of everything..

Well, there is about two weeks until it is time to get out of here.. and we still don't know anything about Kris' leave.. fun stuff.. oy.. We were able to get rid of a lot more stuff.. even a bunch of Kris' clothes.. So we have lightened our load tremendously.. that is always a good thing.. So now we are just waiting and getting all the food out of our freezers..

I have been stressing out quite a bit lately and things have been bothering me more than normal.. after a conversation with Nicole, my fil, and Kris.. I am feeling a bit better... but still feeling very anxious.. hopefully that will show up as weight loss for me and finally push me to my goal..lol

I have also found myself very touched by some things my FF Nicole said about me recently.. and I really appreciate the fact that I have her. I don't know what I would do without her.. it is going to suck at the end of next year when we have to say good-bye.. and I can tell you, I will be planning trips to visit wherever she is .. and of course I will harass her via skype like I do now..lol..

Last night was a bad night for me.. not only was it hard to fall asleep due to the drunken snoring of Kris, but when I finally did it was to wake up to myself screaming from a nightmare.. that is always fun.. I would explain the dream.. but it wouldn't make much sense.. so I will abstain from that.. After I woke up from the scream I had a splitting headache.. so I took ibuprofen and went back to sleep.. luckily the rest of my dreams were good for the most part...but I tell ya, that does not make for waking up feeling well rested..lol..

I have been listening to a lot of the music I grew up on lately.. lots of 80's and 90's rock.. and it makes me feel good.. a lot like my old self.. kinda makes me want to get one of those ipod things too so i can make several different playlists depending on my mood..lol.. Rock works best when I am frustrated...

I do realize this blog has been kinda all over the place, but I couldn't really decide on a particular subject to write about .. so it ended up just being about everything..so onward and upward! Saturday's blog will be about the giveaway contest!

And since I don't think I have mentioned it.. I had to get several inches cut off my dead dead hair.. it is short.. but I am happy with it.. :)
