30 days of me- Day 27

Day 27 - this month, in great detail

Hmm.. Well.. this would mean about mid August till mid September.. Let me see.. bear with me cause I have a bad memory.. but I will try..with the aid of my phone calendar...

So starting on the 13th.. Kris was already gone on an underway.. I have no clue what I did on the 14th or 15th.. on the 16th I started the 30 days of me.. I know that I was doing a LOT of cleaning and separating of things.. making piles of things to get rid of.. I did that for several days... Kris came home for about a week.. and helped me go through some things.. then he left again... I continued working on getting rid of stuff and shipped out a box to Jennifer for the picture frame and coffee mug exchange on ASA...
Went to the Wic office while Victoria took Mcleod to the Orthodontist.. Went to the grocery store several times..lol.. Took Kris back to the boat twice.. went to the base to get new stickers put on his car..
My inlaws came into town and spent some time with us, I got my nails done and got a pedicure, went shopping with Nicole a few times. Went to eat with Nicole a few times. Had a garage sale and sold some stuff..
Scheduled our move with the Navy.. played Just Dance.. A LOT! Went shopping with my MIL.. Dyed my hair red a few times and today will be dying it back blonde. Tomorrow is Alora's bday so I will be doing an asian style photo shoot with her.. hmmm.. I can't really think of anything else.. and that was in no kind of order..lol.. I did a lot more stuff.. but I honestly can't remember it all.. lol

30 days of me- Day 26

Day 26 - your week, in great detail

My week in great detail.. lets see..

Saturday I spent deep cleaning my house and carpets... worked on it all day then Victoria came over for a bit and we played just dance.. after that it was a bath then bed..

Sunday, Kim came by and bought a picnic basket from me and we sat and talked for awhile. Then my inlaws got here and made steaks for dinner.. mmm.. then we all played just dance for a bit.. the kids went to bed and I made homemade blizzards.. mmmm...

Monday I finally got the HPC form from Kris! Filed all our paperwork for the move, then my inlaws gave me a me day! Sooo I called up Nicole and we met up at the nail place and got pedicures! Then we went to lunch at applebee's, followed by a trip to the mall since JCpenney was having a labor day sale! After Nicole left I went back in the mall to get my free underwear and discounted bra from VS.. then I headed home.. Played just dance with the kids and inlaws again ... relaxed a bit in the bath then went to bed.

Tuesday I got up to make everyone pancakes for breakfast, once I realized I didn't have enough flour it was off to the store for me. On the way I stopped and got Kris' dry cleaning then I went to the store and while I was there I ordered Alora's bday cake. On the way back home I stopped at the housing office and filed our move out paperwork. Came home and chilled on the computer till my MIL was ready to go to the store.. we headed to Ross.. a halloween store, and then walmart.. once that was finished we went back home and found out that they didn't have to leave that night after all.. so we all just hung out and then it was bath and bed for me

Wednesday I had an appointment in Del mar to get an IPL facial. .. so i headed up and did that.. on my way back I stopped at target to pick up some eyeshadow i had a coupon for and a birthday card for alora. Got Tristan a couple things too. Came home and helped my inlaws get their stuff into the truck.. Then it was time to say goodbye.. So we watched them drive away then went inside for dinner.. got the kids ready for bed.. then bath and bed for me.

Thursday was more of a lazy day.. I mostly worked on the internet all day then the pre inspection guy for housing came late...eating sometime in between that and feeding kids and getting them ready for bed and then bed myself.

Friday I did some laundry washing all of Alora's linens and some clothes.. cleaned some dishes, posted some garage sale signs and did other random things I cannot remember.. bath dinner bedtimes.. i am sure you are getting the idea..lol

Saturday I got up early and had a garage sale. Did that till about noon put alora down for a nap and left Nicole and Kim here so I could go pick up sandwiches. Came back and ate, cleaned up the garage sale, got some very bad news, then emailed it to kris. Went inside and played just dance with the girls.. Cooked dinner for myself and the kids.. fed them .. now am just waiting for bed time so I can take a bath and relax..

So that is it.. in a nutshell.. a week.. I don't know how i am going to do a year or a month.. i can barely remember yesterday... and if i didn't have a blog I probably wouldn't have remembered most of these days either..lol

30 Days of me- Day 25

Day 25- your day in great detail

Well this was a bad day for this post to fall on..lol.. I haven't done much of anything today, and nothing at all interesting.

So here it goes, I woke up this morning from a horrible nightmare really wishing Kris was next to me. Of course I am sick today so I have a slight fever and sore throat which I am sure helped my nightmare along. Anywho.. I got up and got Alora then took her downstairs and fed her. Went back upstairs to shower while contemplating the color of my hair and what to do about it... I have come to the conclusion that I am going to try and have a salon dye the bottom half of my hair to match my natural color, if they won't then I will just have to live with it. My bangs well, I guess I am going back blond.. that is what Kris told me to do although I am not sure he meant it...lol..

Sooo... after that I didn't do much other than making a couple posts on fb and asa... Had some leftover blueberry pancakes for lunch... then sat around and played games on the computer for a bit while Alora napped.

Nicole called me on skype and we talked for awhile, then Alora woke up and I stripped her bed to wash her sheets.. continued talking to Nicole for awhile and made Alora some lunch... and Tristan..

Now I am again just sitting around feeling feverish... considering playing my just dance game just for the heck of it... Tonight I will post my address up on craigslist for our garage sale tomorrow.. and I still need to make a sign to put up by the road... After all that.. it will be time for the kids to go to bed and ASA after dark....lol.. My ASA girls know what I am talking about..lol...

So that is it.. pretty boring day... any other day this week would have been a bit more interesting..lol

30 days of me- Day 24

Day 24 - whatever tickles your fancy

On Sunday the parents showed up to visit for a few days.. It was great seeing them, but it sucks that Kris couldn't be here to see them also. After all, they are his parents. Regardless it is always good to see them and I got sooooo much done while they were here!

The first day they were here I got our HPC form and scheduled our move. Then they offered me a day without kids! Of course I took it! lol.. Nicole and I met up and got a pedicure and went shopping! That was loads of fun and I already wrote about it in a previous journal. That night my fil made steaks for dinner..mmm..

The next day I got up to make pancakes and realized I didn't have enough flour left! So off I went to the store. On my way I picked up Kris' dry cleaning then went to the grocery store and while I was there, ordered Alora's cake for her party on the 25th. :) On my way home from the store I stopped in to fill out paperwork with housing and let them know we were leaving, also scheduled our pre-inspection which is supposed to happen today. Then I just relaxed for a little bit and waited since my Mil wanted to head to walmart. Of course on the way to walmart we had to stop at Ross.. lol.. I ended up with some barrettes and socks for Alora.

Wednesday I had an appointment for an IPL facial (to help remove my brown spots) in Del mar.. so the parents watched the kids again while I went to do that.. On my way back I stopped by target and picked up a birthday card for little miss.. :)
Oh and I forgot to mention we have all been playing just dance together a lot and it was so much fun! It is great to have other people to play with .. the living room sure was crowded...lol
Photobucket
We even got Dan to play once or twice.. hehe.. didn't get any pictures of that though.

So on Wed. it was time to say goodbye so I snapped a few pictures of them on the way out the door... and here they are.

30 days of me- Day 22

Day 22 - a website

There are only a few websites that I frequent.. this one of course.. Facebook..sparkpeople to track my calorie intake, and A Sailors Anchor the Forum based website that I created for Navy Wives and S.O.'s.

I already mentioned ASA in a previous post and how much it means to me. Giving Navy wives a place to connect means a lot to me. Being a Navy Wife myself, I know how hard it is to constantly move to new places and not know anyone there. This site has allowed me to meet so many wonderful women virtually and in person all over the world. I will be meeting some more new ladies when head up to Washington in a couple months and I am really looking forward to that. There are some wonderful women that I have gotten to speak to online that I am very excited to meet in person. I also look forward to our next move and meeting even more of these wonderful women.

I hope that every woman that joins this site will get out and get to know each other. I know I have been shy at times not wanting to put myself out there for fear of not being liked, but don't miss the opportunity to make a new best friend!

Not everyone you meet will be your new best friend, but you will still have great times and meet wonderful people. You will even find that person that will stick with you as a friend no matter how far apart the navy sends you. Trust me on that one. Don't get discouraged if you don't find that friend right away, keep enjoying the company of the wonderful women you meet and you will find that special friend.

ASA has given me a new interest in meeting people and I even host many get togethers myself. I love having access to so many wonderful people. If you are a navy wife or significant other.. please join us.. you will be glad you did. :)

A great day!

Today has been an excellent day..

It started off with an email from my wonderful husband sending me the HPC form that we have been waiting for.. The form that makes scheduling our move to Wa possible! So as soon as I got that email I got online and finished scheduling our move and emailed in the extra paperwork. I am so thrilled that is done now! Only thing we are waiting for now is a leave chit.. :) So the morning started off wonderfully and continued to get better! :)

My in-laws took the kids and I got a "Me" day.. :) So I called Nicole and she came out to go get a pedicure with me! Yay! It was nice having her go with me and having a girls day.. with no kids to drive us nuts..lol

We hung out and got pedicures then went to lunch.. after lunch we had to hit Jcpenney for the Labor day sale.. and look what we found!

These dresses were awesome! Especially Nicole's dress, unfortunately hers was 90 bucks! So she didn't get it..:( I did buy mine! I will be wearing it to my graduation ceremony!! :) I love it! It is so comfortable too.

I am thinking that we HAVE to find an identical dress to this one for cheaper, cause it looks awesome!

It was so wonderful having Nicole to go shopping with! Look out Wa, cause her and I will be living closer to one another! lol
Nicole had to leave the mall earlier than I did, she had a thing to go to .. so I went to VS and picked up my free undies and cheap bra with my coupon! :)

Once I got home my wonderful friend Ed called me.. which is a good thing because I was worried about him, since I hadn't heard from him since monday.

I also got a call from the love of my life.. a day is always good when I get to hear Kris' voice..:)

My FIL cooked dinner for everyone, of course I was still full from eating with Nicole so I didn't eat.. but I did make some popcorn for everyone..:) Now everyone is in bed and I am relaxing.. working on getting rid of the perfume headache that I acquired at sephora...lol..

30 days of me- Day 21

Day 21 - a recipe

I don't use recipes much, but I do have a really great one that I found recently that I really like.. So without further ado... here it is..

Pancakes!

1 1/2 cup flour
3 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt (I use less, probably about half that much)
1 tblsp sugar (I use about half a tblsp more)
1 1/4 cup milk
1 egg
3 tblsp butter

I also add about a tsp of vanilla.. it adds some great flavor!

Then I added 1 packet of betty crocker blueberry muffin mix.. the kind you just add water to.. and of course I add the amount of water that the packet asks for..

Mix it all together till smooth, then I like to add blueberries.. I don't measure this, just add as much or as little as you like..

Cook your pancakes on an ungreased griddle or frying pan till you see bubbles and the edges are getting done.. then flip.. I am sure you get the idea by now..lol

make sure you don't leave them.. or they will burn..

Enjoy your yummy delicious pancakes!

This isn't my picture.. but I wanted to give you a little thought..lol

30 days of me- Day 20

Day 20 - a hobby of yours

Well, I am getting there .. only 10 more days to go before I start the 30 days of pictures!

So today is about a hobby of mine.. The most prominent in my life is obviously photography. I love photography.. taking beautiful pictures of people is a passion of mine. It has been for a very very long time.. I started doing it professionally in 2004 .. but have been holding a camera and taking pictures of everything for much much longer. I even carried a camera around school in middle school and high school.. :)

With the horrible memory that I have all of these pictures help me to remember different times in my life that I certainly do not want to forget. What better to jog the memory than a visual aid! So onto it..
These pictures are from photo shoots that I did with the kids while we were in Florida.. I love them!(the pictures and the kids..lol)

My other hobby.. well I think that would be helping Navy Wives. I created a site called www.ASailorsAnchor.com I did this so that Navy Wives & SO's would have a place to go to meet one another, create relationships, and talk with other people who understand what they are going through. Being a sailors wife is a hard life.. so we gotta stick together! I think supporting them and creating this site is one of the best things I have ever done, besides my children and marrying my husband of course. :)

If you are a Navy Wife or Significant Other, come and check us out at A Sailors Anchor We look forward to seeing you on the boards!

This is one of the graphics I made for ASA's twitter page..:)

30 days of me- Day 19

Day 19 - a talent of yours

I have tried to think of a talent of mine and even asked some of my friends to help me out..A couple of them said that multi-tasking was one of my biggest talents..mainly because I went to college while, pregnant, during a deployment, taking care of 2 other kids, also while having a newborn, and still managed to keep an A average. I don't know if I consider that a talent so much though..lol..

I do think I have a talent for designing baskets.. I have decorated a few for friends for their baby showers.. I really love doing it for them because I feel they are more personal.. I don't have any pictures right now of the first two that I made.. but here are 4 others that I have made.. The first one is my favorite.

There is also my photography.. and I like to think that I have a talent for that.. I love to work with people, making them see themselves in a picture and say Oh my gosh that is beautiful, that is the moment I love most! This is one of my most recent shoots..

Photobucket

I guess I just love to make people happy..lol.. Cause it seems everything that I have a "talent" for is something that does good for someone else.. I do like seeing people smile..:)
